Frequently asked questions

What counts as a "run"?
Each IFC upload you analyse counts as one run. Re-opening a saved analysis, exporting, or browsing history doesn't consume runs.
How does the annual discount work?
Choosing annual billing locks in a 20% discount for the full year. You'll be invoiced once upfront. Monthly billing is available at the standard rate.
What happens to my data on the Free tier after 30 days?
Free tier analyses are automatically deleted after 30 days. Upgrade to any paid plan for unlimited retention. Your account stays active — only old analyses are removed.
Can I upgrade mid-month?
Yes. Upgrading mid-month is straightforward and self-serve: complete checkout from Pricing or the in-app upgrade flow and your new plan is active as soon as payment completes — no need to email support. Your IFC uploads and analysis history are retained. When you upgrade from Free to a paid tier, runs you completed on Free do not count toward your new plan’s monthly run quota. We never double-charge you for a paid period you’ve already covered.
Do you support purchase orders or invoicing?
Yes. Enterprise and large-team customers can pay by invoice. Email us to discuss terms.
What methodology does the Carbon tool use?
The Carbon tool (v2.0, shipped 24/04/26) anchors each analysis to your project region, country and locality (from the IFC where we can detect it, and/or from your selection). We apply country and region-appropriate LCA methodology and benchmark framing across 45 countries in six global regions — for example EN 15978–aligned national approaches in many markets and RIBA / LETI-style references where we surface UK targets. Embodied carbon factors are drawn from regional and reference datasets where available; when country-specific data is missing we use documented fallbacks (such as regional anchors, EDGE reference values, or ICE v3.0 defaults), which the app and PDF reports call out. All headline results are lifecycle stages A1–A3 (product stage). Defect and Resilience tools are in development; methodology details will be published before launch.
